Bathtub Knitting

Yep, Bathtub knitting. So every once in a while I get the luxury of taking a nice hot bath. This past Superbowl Sunday was just the perfect opportunity. The husband and son were occupied watching the game, and that was my chance to slip away. But just sitting in a relaxing tub of steaming hot water, doing nothing is just not me. My hands must be busy. So the way to accomplish that was to figure out how to knit in the tub without getting the yarn and pattern wet. Not getting the pattern wet was easily solved by putting the pattern in a clear page protector. The problem of not getting the yarn wet, well that took a little more “thinking outside the box”. Looking around, I spied with my little eye a long clear plastic container. Hummm, the tub is about the same width as the container is long. Taking the lid off the box, laying it across the tub upside down. It created the perfect platform for pattern, yarn, and no water. Actually the lib of the lid created a barrier that the water could not get over. We are now one container short of a lid, but up one new relaxing knitting spot.
